It's an unfortunate and ugly truth. 

Slavery was a big part of America's past as well as that of other countries. 

As difficult as this subject is, the importance of remembering and learning from it is paramount.

These documents are the evidence of what went on, in part, and need to be preserved for future generations.

We have been able to acquire a collection of rare and exceptional documents pertaining to various aspects of this disturbing industry.  Many of these were collected in the 1980s and have never been offered to the public before. 

We, the proprietors of this site, have been collectors of paper ephemera for roughly 40 years. 

We only sell partially letterpress-printed documents as they are scarcer than those that are completely handwritten on random types of paper.

Most of these types of documents have found their way into various institutional collections; they are increasingly difficult to find for sale to private collectors.

We guarantee the authenticity of all of our items and will gladly refund any purchase within 30 days if a noted authority or institution tells you otherwise.  

We have donated and sold other historical documents to several institutions including the Library of Congress.
